I reached out to the incredible women inside of my Facebook Community, (join us here if you haven’t already) for their best pieces of advice they wish to give to their fellow female entrepreneurs. Here’s what they said:
When it comes to attracting higher-paying clients, personal branding can elevate the way you do business, connect with the right audience, and delivers your desired results.
Personal Branding is a powerful process to unveil a brand like no one has ever imagined. This allows you to harness your full potential and create solutions based on what your potential clients are looking for. With the right mindset and confidence, you can effortlessly captivate your audience and make them pay for your services no matter the price tag because you believe in what you offer and you make them dream of the transformations they desire for their identity and their businesses. Branding is considered the future of business and it’s time to leverage your uniqueness.
Show up INTENTIONALLY, create a plan that is focused on growing your audience each day.
Get clear on your goals & intentions (build a power practice to start your day with each day, this could be listening to a 10 minute meditation, journaling, listing 10 things you are grateful for, moving your body etc)
Create a ‘Boss Schedule’ this will ensure you make time for the most important needle moving activities each day. Setting specific time for your business building activities around your life makes it easier to show up for your business with ease.
Create a simple & sustainable action plan (checklist). What are 2-3 activities that bring new people into your community?Make them non negotiable & put them on your schedule.
Post with intention. If you feel like you are forcing it, don’t do it. If you feel like you are all over the place on ALL THE SOCIAL platforms, stop. Pick 1 & put your energy into growing your presence & audience there!
It’s all about balance between me moments, family and then the business. You can’t pour from an empty cup. It’s all about health physically and mentally that will give you the energy to perform at your best in your business and develop superb business ideas that will help business to scale up and grow.
It’s all about feeding the spirituality. Staying grounded. All the answers to success in your business isn’t from working excessively hard, it’s from mother nature. Get in touch with mother nature and let it guide you on how to make your business more of a success.
Connect to the mind, spirit, health and body then manifest your dreams while on the job. It starts within the mind. If the mind is polluted with thoughts of can’t do, then you’ll certainly fail. But if the mind speaks positive affirmations then watch opportunities run you down. PROVEN!
Start thinking about protecting your brand BEFORE you start your business. I see so many wildly creative women build amazing companies, only to have their brands ripped out from under them because they failed to think about securing exclusive rights to their ideas. It takes so much time, effort and emotion to build a company from the ground up – don’t let someone else come in and steal your hard work so they can use it for their own advantage. And even if someone isn’t stealing your ideas, you may unknowingly be infringing on someone else’s intellectual property (through no fault of your own!).
Research trademarks, copyrights, and even patents to protect your ideas. And if that’s not your jam, have a lawyer walk you through it. Most lawyers are happy to give free brand protection advice. It may seem like overkill when you have $0 in sales, but it can save you tens of thousands of dollars in the long run!
One piece of advice that I would give fellow women in business is to not overthink. Overthinking is one of the biggest mistakes that most entrepreneurs make when they are getting ready to launch a new project or service. When you overthink, you second guess everything and you lose focus on the things that are important such as marketing. Do you know who you should market your new project or service to? Some entrepreneurs just market to everyone and “Everyone is NOT your client.”
Think about it ….. if you are hoping to reach EVERYONE in the world, your marketing will be very disorganized and chaotic. It is recommended to identify your very own customer avatar to identify who your ideal audience is. A customer avatar is simply a detailed profile of your target customer. A defined customer avatar can help you attract the “right” customers. It can also help you market to your target audience. If you know who you should market your product and services to, there would be no room to overthink.
You don’t have to create new content every single time. Content repurposing is going to be a game changer for any entrepreneur. Make a list of top 30 questions your audience is asking in your industry – there you have 30 major content ideas. Make a video around each of these 30 topics. Make a video 10-15 minutes, so it’s easy to digest. And from there, get a transcript of that video that can be later turned into an article, social media posts, Instagram carousels, email newsletters and more.
You might be thinking – but if I’m going to re-create the same content over and over again, my audience will get tired of it and unfollow me.. Absolutely not! If you have 100 people following you today, and in a month that audience grows to 250 people, it means there’s an extra 150 eyeballs that haven’t seen that content. On top of that, people need repetition, sometimes over and over again until the message sinks in. So don’t be afraid to repurpose your content.
I can honestly say that mindset is everything. Starting an entrepreneurial journey is one of massive personal growth, a lot of stuff may come up that you never knew existed. Subconscious blocks and limiting beliefs will keep you running around in circles. If you don’t clear these and develop the right mindset, even the best strategies won’t work.
